Cayleigh Brown I am currently a freshman at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I write mostly poetry and creative non-fiction. Common themes in my work are self-discovery, political tensions, and the natural world. My inspirations include authors like Sylvia Plath, Mary Oliver, Maggie Nelson, John Ashbery, etc. My work has been published in Roars and Whispers Literary-Arts Magazine and The Peel Literary-Arts Magazine. When I am not writing, I work with College Democrats at ASU and consume a copious amount of poetry. I enjoy design, music, playing guitar, and nature.
